WAAI launched a year ago with the mission of building a global community for women and marginalized genders around the practical adoption of AI. The organization connects practitioners and leaders to learn from one another and put AI to work in their day-to-day roles. Its focus is applied and hands-on: less about the hype around AI, more about how real people use it to do real work.
The evening is part anniversary, part look ahead. WAAI members, including Stellix CEO Jenn Azar, will share how their work and careers have changed over the past year, and attendees will get a first look at the AI Confidence Index, a new WAAI initiative that tracks how people are learning and adapting as AI becomes part of everyday work.
Then the conversation moves off the screen. Most AI discussion assumes a keyboard and a browser. The harder question is what happens when intelligent systems enter physical spaces and work alongside people.
The program includes a discussion of humans working with physical AI, followed by a live demonstration of Stella, the “robot dog” we deploy for autonomous inspection and data-collection missions in manufacturing environments.
